A Fountain of Water in the Wilderness, Jorge Juan Torres

My name is Jorge Juan Torres. I live in the city of San Pedro Sula, Honduras. I am actively serving as a responsible brother of the local church in La Lima. Since June of 2000, the Lord opened the door to serve Him in a full-time way. This was in fellowship with my family and the responsible brothers of my locality.

Being trained has been one of my deeper desires after the Lord, by His mercy, reached me at the age of 17 on February 18, 1980, 21 years ago.

From the innumerable blessings the Lord had provided me in my walk with Him, two of them stand out: 1) seeing the Lord's move in the local church and starting to participate in it in 1991, and 2) being able to come to the Full-Time Training in Anaheim this year.

If you ask me “Why the training is so special?”, I would answer you that it is like entering in to an atmosphere, a marvelous environment that allows me to experience something divine and heavenly on this earth. It brings me every moment to contact the Lord and His Spirit. During daily living, I am easily distracted out of the enjoyment and the presence of the Lord. In the training everything around me, everything I do, see, hear, and say make a net, an atmosphere, an environment like a flow of a mighty river. By entering into it, it leads me to Christ Himself. It strengthens me, encourages me, and keeps me in the Spirit. That makes my experience of Christ richer, more abundant, and constant every time.

Such is my experience in these days, and for this reason I praise and bless the Name of our Lord Jesus Christ. I am working with other brothers meeting with the local church that others could enter into this environment full of God, of His Spirit, of the Holy Word, of prayer, and of fellowship. In fact, such a place exists on the earth; this is how to find a “fountain of water in the wilderness with a heavenly atmosphere.”
